Buddy Registration Implemented
Because we have had several inquiries about it, we are implementing a scheme wherein people may team up in the lottery. This is how it works:
- Any runner may team with any other runner, but we request written verification (by email or on the registration form)that both persons agree to the arrangement.
- Up to three people in a single family may team up.
- Only one person per buddy team will be in the lottery.
- If that person is picked for a race, the one he or she has teamed with will also be placed in a race. If the lottery member is not picked, neiher one will get in the race.
- It is permissible for runners who team together to select different races or different start dates.
- The race organizers will determine which runner in a teamwill be the one in the lottery.
- To indicate that you would like to team with another runner, use the Comments section at the end of the registration form to name the other person. There are no rules about format or wording. Just make your intent clear.
- This arrangement applies retroactively. Persons who have already registered may contact us at register@acrosstheyears.com and tell us what you would like to do. We'll figure out the rest.
